I have been working on it but am finding it confusing. I would like to be able to size my pictures
to have a place for recipes a place for crafts and maybe links other things I want to link to my blog

livejournal is great.
there is an easy way to resize pictures- you upload it and write how wide and tall you want the pics to be.
You put tags at the bottom of each post, so you can have a tag for crafts, a tag for cooking, a tag for recipes, a tag for stories, etc... and when someone clicks on the tag "recipes" he'll get a list of all the posts tagged with the recipe tag.

Thank you sereph. I started with Google blogger but I don't see many options to have tags with different tittles.

wordpress.com is also very good -- versatile and has many features called plugins to enhance your site.
