Veal Brisket

Bought one. Planning to make it for shabbos. Do I make it the same way I would beef brisket? Or is this totally different taste/ texture/ cooking method? Please share any favorite recipes if this is something you have made before. Thanks!

I don't know what a veal brisket is, but we make a delishes veal roast with a glaze.

It's a piece of veal that looks like the same cut of meat as beef brisket, only it's veal. I never even ate this, let alone cooked one. I figured SOMEBODY has to have made this before. My butcher has this all the time. SOMEBODY is buying it. Anyhow, I just tossed mine in the oven and winged it. Hopefully it will come out good. It's starting to smell good in here at least.

Is your veal roast recipe already posted on the forum? I haven't made one in years.

I'm sure it will come out good. Veal is just that... good.

Veal Roast
3 lb. veal roast
sliced onion under veal
rub roast with garlic
Cover and bake for 1 hour.

Glaze
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1-1/2 tsp dried minced onion flakes

Uncover roast, smear with glaze, and bake additional 20-30 minutes.
