Do you know if there is anywhere to take lessons to learn how to do make up for weddings? Is this something I can do on the side. I've done it for friends before who had low budget weddings but I'd like to become better at it. Thank you.

I think you have several options. There are direct sales companies that teach you how to use their makeup so that you can apply it to your customers (or show they how to use it) that would probably be the cheaper option. Plus you can then make extra money selling the product as well.
Your second option would be to find a beauty school that offers classes in your area this would probably be a several month course as they teach all sorts of make up techniques but you would have "proper" training and could probably charge more.
