I saw ladies wearing shiny, plastic like snoods when it rained in Eretz. I'm curious, what are they made of and where are they sold? I didn't see them in any shop...

Did it look like a snood or more like a bonnet/hood? If the latter there is something called a rain bonnet, google it for pictures and places to buy, though the pics aren't so clear since the bonnet is usually clear plastic.
If it was a snood looking thing, then I have no idea what it is you are talking about and am curious to see any other responses

Definitely looked like a snood, with the hanging "pouch", etc. Some had a "knot" in front, some not.

yup, this is what I was talking about when I said rain bonnet. You found clearer pictures than I did. But this is what I assumed she meant when she asked. I guess it probably is not.
