In short, I have heard that it is a toxic chemical like resin (yes, the patio chairs) that occurs from heating starchy foods during cooking. It causes all sorts of health issues in lab animals given in high amounts. The worst offending cereal is Cheerios, worst cookie is Graham crackers, the kind of things we are reccommended to feed to babies.
