Doesn't have to be the same meaning literally, but the same meaningfulness. Nechama is already taken in the close family and our minhag is not to have the same name within the close family. But I like the concept because this anticipated simcha comes as a great comfort after a hard loss.
I don't know yet what we're having but I'm not sure I want to find out before it's born anyway, so I can't help thinking ahead... If it's a boy we'd probably name after a family member who was niftar recently. If a girl, I want something with an upbeat, positive meaning to offset the sadness around here...
