No one is going to eat them plain and I bought a bunch and don't know what to do with them. I have schug and a pepper and garlic dip, store bought. My dh bought it in NY and we have a whole bunch in the freezer. I bought it because I saw it and wanted it. I can't just add it to anything because my kids won't touch it then. I prefer things that can be frozen. If I decide to pickle them, how do you do that and how long should they last then? TIA

With kids, you should serve separately rather than cook with them. It will taste "hotter" if you leave seeds in and/or chop them finely.
You can slice them and add to meat, tacos, or salad. Goes nicely with stir-fry (again, I don't cook them, just serve sliced ones separately on your plate). You can broil them just like you make roasted pepper, take the skin and seeds away, make puree with salt and garlic. They'll keep for a loooong time in freezer, you can add to soup, rice, anything with tomato sauce, or cholent.

Thanks, I figured you would have an answer for me. I was just about to say, good, I'll broil them, good idea, but then I remembered my oven, including my broiler doesn't work now . Is there any way to roast them on the stove?

Hmmm. maybe we can go back a few generations back and see how our grandmothers/ greatgrandmothers used to do everything on a stovetop... The only way I can think of is either use a toasteroven, or stick peppers on a big folk (ideally with a non-metal handle) and broil directly over the fire, toasted marshmallow style?

Thanks, I can try that. I think I have some barbecue utensils. The guy came to see about fixing it today and he said it can't be fixed. I'm so angry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
