Do you own or know someone who owns one of these two?
What's your say?

Yep, I have a Jap! (One wig, and 3 dd's )
I just had it cut 2 weeks ago, and I wore it twice so far. The hair is awesome , silky, soft. The hair is medium thickness, I got a lot of compliments on it. I really think I got an amazing deal, although we'll see how long it lasts!

I have a few Japs and I love them. I wear them every day, and the oldest one is so bad but I can't part with it. I love it! It is so comfortable, and I just keep on washing it and wearing it. I definitely got my moneys worth on that one! Did anyone try the new one called natureal? Curious if that is worth anything and how much it costs.

Where are the clips and combs on the JAP pony? Are they comfy?! Do you use all of them?
How much was the JAP?
Does JAP ever go on sale?!

The Jap wigs start at $400. It is a very comfortable lightweight wig and I was very happy with it. Well worth the money.

No, they only sell wigs there, they did not have a stylist at that time.
I paid $50 to cut it at a beauty salon on 18th Avenue, and it just came out great.
It can be worn in a pony tail, or layered, there is also a long one and a curly one.
We tried them all, and they are definitely worth the price.

I have two japs - a fall and a full wig (16" pre-cut layered). I'm very happy with my full shaitel, hair is smooth, stays a long time between washes, but I only wear it on Shabbos, and sometimes I don't even bother with it, and just wear my fall.
My fall, however: I was happy to begin with, but I was wearing this day-in-day-out to work, long commutes, etc. After about a year it's about ready to be thrown out. After a wash, it will last for a couple of wears and then looks stringy again. It is also losing hair on top. I previously had another (inexpensive) fall and had the same problem, though it was about 1.5 years before this happened.
So, not to hijack this thread - but is this happening because the wigs are cheaply made, or because of the heavy use? Would my falls last longer if I got an expensive one (say, Shevy) for $2000?

I have 2 jap wigs.
one I use as pony sheital and one curly
they both fit well (after I had the caps taken in a bit) relatively comfortable.
my complaints are 1- the curly one doesn't hold the curls for so long- but that may be the sheital macher's fault. I need to try s/o new. when I was in america it lasted MUCH longer than the 1 or 2 wears that I can get out of it now.
2- after 2 years both the caps are starting to get holes and the rows of hair are starting to become undone

I just got a new wig by Judy that I really love.
It is lightweight, comfortable, and really nice.
The hair is so soft, and smooth. It is European hair, and has more body than the Jap.
SO although it is double the price of the Jap, it is well worth the price.
I have been very happy with Judy's wigs for many years.
Judy is also 40 years in business, styling, designing and manufacturing, and very nice to deal with.
She is honest, and her experience cannot be beat.
So, out with the Jap.... in with the Judy.
