No. I did read the mommy detective series (or whatever it's called) and a few essays in her collection.

I've read almost all of her books. Is that the one where the girl is arrested for selling or trafficking drugs?

Yes it's the drug one. I just finished it. I thought it was really good. Although sometimes I feel like the author rambles a bit.

I read her "Bad Mother" book, which I liked so-so. Her liberal agenda and general super-open-mindedness to the point of stupidity was off-putting; as well as her comment that "I would rather my daughter was s*xually promiscuous then come home and announce she is an Orthodox Jew." To say nothing of her late-term abortion, which kept me thinking for weeks afterwards. I'm really struggling with that one.

Whatever, sorry if this is off topic! I just actually read this book recently and I noticed the name of the author in the title and got excited. Smile

Yeah. I liked her detective series but this one kind of hit you over the head repeatedly about mandatory minimum sentencing

I just saw that she has a new one out. I don't think I'll read so soon it if it's along the lines of Daughter's Keeper.
