I am pregnant with my third child and my baby gear is five years old (car seat, stroller, etc.). I know I dont need to replace my crib - but my stroller is on its last legs and I am a little concerned about the car seat. What sort of things should I be replacing? Or can I just keep using my old stuff?

car seat if its expired, everything else if its broken and can't be repaired

Definitely the car seat - they should, in most circumstances, never be handed down if there's more than a year since it's last been used (I was told).

Car seats are usually good for 6 years from the date of manufacture.

Carseats expire 6 years after the date of manufacture. It may say on the bottom of the carseat when it expires. You can also check online for any recalls of baby gear you have.

btw there have been some major crib recalls this past year, (drop side cribs) so if you haven't checked yet you should do that.
