does anyone have any books about toilet training that you would recommend for a first time mommy who is clueless on the subject?

For you - no, but for your son (?) - Once Upon A Potty. They make a DVD/video/book. I bought mine on ebay. I think the author is Jewish.

my personal fav. is 'The Princess and the Potty'. technically its for the trainee, not the trainer, but I learned a lesson from it..... it'll happen when she's ready. And all my kids (the boys too) liked that one, they thought it was funny.

We have "It's Potty Time!" You can get it specifically for gender and race. Its a simple book, and has a flushing sound. It doesnt have an author, but if you google it, I am sure you will find it.
