there are so many threads on how to store clothes, now that I am about to take some out of storage...
do I need to rewash all the baby clothes before using it? before storing I did wash and iron everything, they smell ok, they were stored with bounce sheets. I'm washing out the car seat and carriage liner cuz those were in the dusty garage but all these little washcloths, undershirts and stretchies...
while I'm on the topic, with new baby outfits, do you wash it out before the baby wears it the first time?

I wash only whatever has stains that with time reset even though it wasnt visible at the time I stored it. so I pretreat then wash.

I wash everything that will touch the baby. Car seat, stroller, liners, clothes, etc.

I wash it all, especially if it has been near fabric softener. Then again I don't use fabric softener since we have such sensitive skin. If you don't have that issue it may not be necessary.

I dont wash anything that was stored away unless I see stains or/and it smells funny.
and as for new clothing, I never heard of washing new clothing until I came onto this site, so, no I dont wash new clothing either.

new clothing generally has chemicals in it to keep it looking nice, wrinkle free, etc etc - it's a known thing. so if you care, wash it, if that doesn't bother you, don't. I generally wash stored clothing, too, when I take it out again to use.

I wash everything for a new baby before using it on them. Stored clothing. New clothing.
