I do a deli roll with regular bread/pizza dough. Roll out smear with mustard/mayo mixture, add deli, roll up, brush with egg, bake, and you're done!
My family and many guests prefer this to pastry deli roll.

I've eaten deli rolls made with wraps -- you don't even need to bake them! Just wraps, deli meat, and a bit of mustard. Much less rich than standard deli rolls.

I make deli roll but I use egg roll skin. It's much less greasy. I'm going to guess you probably don't have egg roll skins in your freezer, but in case you do this is delicious.

How do you do this, cookielady? It sounds interesting. I rarely make deli roll because I don't like using puff pastry.

If you have chicken breast cutlets:
dip the cutlets in mustard (or ketchup) and mayo mix
cover with crumbs (matzo or bread etc)
put 2 cold cuts
roll up, secure with a toothpick and bake covered 20 mins
similar
instead of dipping in mix and then crumbs, just brush the mix on one side, then put the deli ontop and roll.
