My baby just wrote on a DVD with a Sharpie (the un-decorated side.) Can I still play it? Sharpie won't come off, tried it.

The writing is on the underside that never has writing on it, not the decorated side that says what CD it is.

Try wiping it lightly with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol (NOT acetone). That should remove the sharpie and probably won't harm the CD. Just don't soak it in the alcohol.
