I was making Sheppard's Pie. Did the meat and veggie layer.

Now I see that all my potatoes are rotten.

What can I do with the mixture and save dinner?

Do you think it'll stay together? I already made the mixture with the sauce and veggies in it.

If you're worried about it staying together add an egg or two (if the original recipe didn't call for it). Or you could make it into burgers.

Spice up the browned meat and veggies nicely, then serve in pita or lafa, of over rice.

What ra_mom said. Or you can make veggie-meat sloppy joes.

I agree with adding egg and breadcrumbs and making a meatloaf.

You could also add tomato sauce and italian seasonings and make it pasta sauce.

If you have pastry dough, you could make bourekas. Or roll it up and make a meat-roll.

Or add egg and breadcrumbs and make meatballs (would depend how small your veggies are chopped)

Ground beef is very versatile.

Thanks everyone! It was already pretty saucy so I just served it with pasta.

I know it's too late by now, but you can add a few beaten eggs, drop a few tablespoonfuls on a frying pan to make meat-omlette patties (edja). You can serve them with salad/veggie and some starch, or make sandwiches.

Another "a bit late but could be helpful for someone" suggestion: top with tater tots.
