I searched for a recipe for stuffed peppers but most were not exact measurements. Ive never made them before and would like a recipe with more or less exact ingredients. I want to make it with chopped meat and whole grain rice if possible. Anyone?

here's my recipe. I use regular rice, I don't know if that makes a difference though.
-6 red bell peppers
Cut off tops of peppers and clean the insides well
meat mixture:
-1 lb ground beef
-1 large onion
-1/4 cup uncooked rice
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/4 cup water
-dash pepper
Saute' onion. Add in the other ingredients. Mix well (works best with hands)
Stuff the peppers with the meat mixture. Leave aside.
sauce:
2 cans tomato sauce
1/4 tsp salt
5 Tbsp sugar
3/4 cups water
1 Tbsp ketchup
In a large pot, mix the sauce ingredients and bring to boil. Then put in the peppers and cook on low/med for about 1 and 1/2 hours- 2 hours.
After a while I usually tip the peppers sideways so the meat inside can be cooking in the sauce and after some more time, I make it lay on the other side, otherwise the top half of the pepper is not covered in sauce. Some of the meat will come out by doing that but not much.
serve with pasta.

I don't saute the meat, but I put it in as soon as the onions are done so the pot is still hot and the meat gets browned anyways.

Here's a sweet sauce version, from Pomegranate / Binah
Stuffed Peppers
• 4 medium sized peppers
• 2 lbs. ground beef
• 1/2 cup uncooked rice
• 1/2 cup shredded carrots
• 1/4 cup ketchup
• 2 Tbsp sugar
• 3 cloves garlic, crushed
• 1/4 cup paprika
Sauce
• 1/2 of a (15 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
• 1-1/2 cups cold water
• 1 (10 oz.) can tomato sauce
• 1/2 of a (6 oz.) can tomato paste
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup white vinegar
• 2 Tbsp paprika
• salt and pepper to taste
Combine stuffing ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Cut off tops of the peppers, hollow out, and rinse.
Stuff peppers with meat mixture, filling slightly over the top. Stuff the peppers loosely, not tightly, because rice will expand.
Place stuffed peppers in a baking pan. Pour sauce over each pepper, completely covering.
Cover the top of the pan with parchment paper and then foil.
Bake at 350 for 2-1/2 hours.

Depending on how long you cook, but I usually use parboiled rice, and soak it for 20-30min so it fluff up nicely. Also remember to fill only loosely as rice expands.
My fillings for about 5 medium-to-large peppers are 1lb minced lamb or veal, 1/2 cup rice, 1 medium onion chopped, 1 grated carrots, 1 egg, spice (I use meatball seasoning which includes cinnamon, mint, paprika, cumin, allspices, pepper) and salt. I sautee onion and carrots, let cool and mix in a bowl with everything.
