nope, hand, which is why you have to rice the potatoes when they're hot. Also, it's handy if you have a man around to squeeze it, because it takes a lot of upper body strength.

I wonder what else you can use riced potatoes for. hamburgers/meatballs is a good start already... I dont know why I cant remember ever eating ground beef on pesach though. we always had turkey also.

My cousins (Satmar chassidim) also don't use cucumbers. And of course no vegetables you can't peel. But you can add to your list beets, celery root, parsnip (tastes pretty good cooked and mashed like potatoes, or so they say), kohlrabi.

Chremslach, as I mentioned before. Also mashed potatoes - easier than using a masher. There must be other things. Can't think of them offhand, though.

My husband also has the minhag of not eatting veggies with seeds. Then, my fil found out some were ok to eat so we can now eat eggplant, seedless watermellon(which has white seeds, don't ask), seedless cuc's(also has seeds, don't ask), tomatoes. All the above peeled. We don't eat lettuce (only Romain for marror), no oil, no potato starch, only boiled sugar, my fil makes his own wine, no milchig, washed eggs, Kosher salt checked. I can go on and on. Is there anyone else that eats nothing? What do you eat? Don't ask what we eat! Nothing! To make things harder I don't like fish, eggs, chicken and love milchig! So I end up living off fruits veg and red meat. That is why I need A LOT of recipies for the following:
salads
dips(why dips if there is nothing to dip into?-nope, no gibrochts)
fish/meat/chicken
soups
kugel
dessert
snacks
ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING ELSE!!!

soup: red cabbage, onion, potatoes, tomatoes, salt
mock chopped liver: hard boiled eggs, nuts, onions blended
cut up potatoes for french fries or thinner for chips
here's something you might want to try for Pesach: breadfruit

My friend has twin girls born on Pesach too and she usually makes pink cupcakes for them - she colors them with beet juice. Try a sponge cake recipe with beet juice coloring. How are your creams chometz? Most creams I know of use margarine, confectioners sugar and such. If you use those things on Pesach, what's the problem?

My mother in law has a great recipe for almond cake that uses only ground almonds, sugar and eggs. It's a non-Jewish, non-Pesach recipe, so it really tastes good. I'll b"n ask her for the recipe and post it here.

well try using ur ricer to make really smooth mash and then add eggs and salt and a little water to make a thick batter. dip in your shnitzels and FRY AWAY!
ALSO! try this...make ur own mayonnaise nad coat your chicken in it...bake...
and a great salad...
cooked beets diced
diced orange..sweet
diced onion
lemon juice
boiled sugar and a pinch of salt..
of coruse I use oil...
I heard somewhere that it's better to use oil than shmaltz...it being more refined than dirty chickens

Just wanted to say you can make your own potato starch. I have never done it, but I know many people do it. Also, can you use olive oil? Another Pesach favorite with us is avocado. Can you use avocado?

RG- I know someone who doesn't. When I asked her why she said cause her grandmother didn't in Russia.
I still don't understand the garlic thing. My great grandmother did use garlic on pesach so the reasoning of my grandmother didn't doesn't work for me.
