I would love to give my daughter a summer sleepaway camp experience however I cannot see myself being able to afford the 2000.00 for 4 weeks camp fee. We live in Monsey and have a leafy backyard with some really nice day camps but my daughter has her heart set on a sleepaway camp. She is a seventh grader in a bais yaakov and I would love some suggestions. If anyone knows of a bais yaakov style camp that is less prohibitively expensive or of a scholarship opportunity, I would love the insights.

Would she be willing to go as a mother's helper?

It was sold to new owners. No longer under the UJA or whoever they were under.

Who used to own it, and who owns it now?

Does she babysit? Maybe she can save up money and you can split the cost?

I don't know if this is for her but the Lubavitch sleepaway camp (Emunah I think) gives major scholarships through the Jewish Federation. Google it for info.
