will have almost 3 yr old and NB this summer, iy"h.
Looking for versitility of a single that can turn into a double.
I've narrowed it down to the BJ city select and the Britax B Ready.
Has anyone had any experience with either of these storllers?

I have the City Select and I'm very happy. But as with every stroller, you need to know your needs. For me, I love that I can leave the 2nd seat in DD's gan and just snap it in when I pick her up. This way I have a single in the morning when its just me and the baby and when I need to do multiple pick ups I can get around quickly b/c my 2 yr old is also in the stroller.

I don't have steps though. I don't think it is good as a double for steps.

Its heavy, but I don't find it harder to push then my City Mini double.

can you get by with a single and a buggy board?

IY"H I will have an almost 2.5 year old and a new born in the fall and I am grappling with the same question. Do I need a double can I manage with a single and a bjorn in the beginning. Trying to figure it out... I'd love some advise.

I'm anon because I haven't told anyone we're expecting yet...

shabri - interesting point about leaving the extra seat in gan!

Maybe by the summer dd (who's now 2.5) will be more of a 'walker' but when I need to get somewhere quick, I want the option to just strap her in and go. I'm thinking about getting the scooter attachment for my single mountain buggy but I also want a double stroller option.

I have an elevator, no steps, B"H!.

Did anyone ever look into the uppababy?

Britax steers better but the kids are more squished. this is my opinion from looking at it in the store.

I think the Uppababy is the easiest to steer of the 3. I had a City Select for a few weeks and was not happy with it. Very heavy and long (and that was in singles mode!).

Based on videos that I've seen of the uppababy, though it may be a great single stroller and may even push great, it looks like whoever is in the rumble seat is quite uncomfortable. In the MOST roomy position (toddler seat facing parent, rumble seat behind it, also facing parent), there's about 4 inches between child's head and the seat in front.............I cant see DD appreciating THAT very much!
