I have a vegetable soup that I made for shabbos. It is not chunky and want to make something to go in it.. Any suggestions? I dont want to make croutons.

I have put matzo balls into vegetable soup - delicious!
I also make "kreplach" wontons by putting a small amount of spiced ground meat (ground meat with spices like onion and garlic powder or chopped up onion or crushed garlic, etc..) in wonton wrappers (if you buy the big kind, cut each into four). Fold the wrapper either envelope style or triangle style. Place in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. Drain immediately and cover with foil until ready to serve in hot soup.

I second the matza balls suggestion. I serve them in my butternut squash soup on shabbos and they are very well received.

I also just use matza balls. Yummy. They have a different flavor in different soup!
