I read the book but did not get one part.
What was the whole thing with Yoav and lara? What was Lara hiding from him?
and at one point Yoav said its either him or them-- whos them? TIA

My DD emailed the author and asked that and was told that thread was left hanging to be dealt with in an upcoming book.

Ok thanks.
But I think thats a mean thing to do, they dont let you get that satisfied feeling of finally tying up the loose threads, when reading the last few pages. I mean, I bought this book, I dont want to be forced to buy another one, this is not a serial in a magazine... what do you think?

I can't agree with you yet because I haven't read it.

But generally I agree. First of all if I read this book I'd probably have to read the first again because I didn't remember who was who in the earlier thread about the second book, and I'm not really interested in doing that so I guess I'll probably not read it.

I checked the first book out from the library, btw. Maybe I'll wait until they get a copy of this one.

My copies of both ID and DD are being lent out all over town (and out of town Wink

) - most recently to the high school girl who recently babysat for my sister and saw it there. I said - fine with me - send them around, but I need BOTH of them back by Erev Pesach because I want to re-read both but have both available so I can cross-reference Very Happy

It seems to be the author's style to leave things unanswered. Like in the first book, we heard the name Rafi Ashenbaum and were left wondering who he was (same with Devorah's story). My guess on Mrs. Yoav (Lara?) that she has some sort of mental illness and hallucinations reliving finding out about her parent's death and this will come especially hard to Yoav who clearly stated his disgust at the mentally ill.
