Why is it worth it to bring dishes? How could I do it without it costing me an arm and a leg? We've been living here for five years already although we made aliyah just last week. In that time I've found decent dishes (okay - not the same quality and only 3-piece place settings) that I like. They didn't cost a fortune IIRC so I don't even feel so bad when some break.
