I just found out that my daughter has severe allergies to dust mites.
The doctor recommended I buy encasings for her mattress, pillow and comforter.
Has anyone had this situation?
What did you buy?
Where did you buy it?
Any tips are greatly appreciated.

I have a dust mite allergy. I bought a matress cover and pillow case from a catalog given to me by my dr. They last forever so it's worth buying one that is comfortable.

I bought an all-encompassing mattress cover with zipper (not one that just covers the top like a fitted sheet) and a ditto for the pillow, in a local curtains-and-linens type of store. Over that I have a conventional mattress pad which I vacuum between washings in very hot water. Our current vacuum cleaner has a HEPA filter on it.
