I want to make a mushroom soup for yomtov night.
Do you think it's ok if I make it tomorrow for Tuesday night?
I don't want to have too many things to do on Tuesday...
I am also planning to serve it on Wednesday.

you can make most things in advance. some things taste better fresh but soups often taste better on the second warming...

For sure--you can dip the container in icewater to cool it quickly and place in the refrigerator. Also, divide the soup for each night into separate containers, so the container for Wednesday night will remain closed and keep longer.
