Update: I spoke to her last night about my house "rules" including the computer and ....
she was totallly reasonable and understanding about it all!!!!!!! I think she finally got the picture about the computer - and I also think that she is growing up, b"H. We discussed the food issues and various other rules and she was accepting of everything.
A huge sigh of relief!!!! Hopefully this summer, we can reestablish our mother-daughter connection much more. It's certainly a good start.

she said she'll buy anything that goes beyond my rather small budget at the moment. And she has also offered to do housework as a contribution, which I have accepted. I have to say that I am very proud of her. She is definitely growing up, b"H!

That's fantastic news!
I think one of the interesting things about teenagers is the way they go back and forth between being young adults and being much younger. It's all a part of growing up. Hopefully, the mature side will prevail this summer, and you and she will bond further.
Good for you for holding calm and loving but firm!
