does anyone know how much you are allowed to have in the bank or assets?
it used to be $2000 I heard now you can have more is that true?

I don't know much but no one else had replied so maybe some vague info is better than none. When I applied last year I was told that they do not have to look at assets anymore. But my case manager told me that if someone does have a lot of assets they may still assume some of it is available as income. I know this is not very helpful but it's all I know.

Call Lakewood Resource and Refferal 732-942-9292 since the laws are the same in all of NJ I am sure they can help you even if you dont live in Lakewood
