My son is turning 5 in a few weeks and I would like to get him a building set, I know he enjoys playing with pieces (especially if there are also mentchies). I am thinking Knex might be good for him. When I tried searching for Knex sets (on ebay) there were so many options, so I wanted to get some reviews here. What are good sets that you own, that your son(s) enjoy?
TIA!

Is he good with little pieces (lego) sized? Or you'd be getting the bigger pieces (kid knex)...At 5 my son had a hard time with regular knex but by 5.5 he was doing great with them...and he has excellent fine motor skills.
For the regular knex sets we have a few -- city vehicles (can make police car/ambulance), one set that makes a tractor, one that makes dump truck...I don't remember what they all are. We combined them all into one bin with the instructions. They're all pretty good.
