How/where do you store your hangers?

as simple as it sounds: I have hangers all over the house!! its driving me crazy!

I keep hangers for all these things that cant go in the dryer or will need ironing if goes through dryer but a lot of these things get folded afterwards so im always left with the hangers. I do not have enough closet/hanging space for hangers. they just end up getting everywhere.

I tried using boxes or bags but either it falls out of it or the bag doesnt stay in one stop/topples or when its time to get a hanger it gets everywhere.

so whats your trick?? where/how do you keep yours?

sidepoint: I live in a really small apartment (small 1 bedroom with 3 kids bah) so not much space here.

Where are you keeping the hangers when they have things on them? I have something sort of like this http://www.amazon.com/Spectrum.....J78ZY The hangers stay on there whether there is clothing on them or not. If the clothing that was hung up to dry gets hung in a closet the hanger that was in the closet gets moved to the over the door hanger. If the clothing gets folded the hanger stay on the over the door hanger.

More hangers than I have place to hang up in the closets and over the door hanger aren't useful to me so I don't store them.

maybe you can put this behind the door so that it's not so conspicuous

liba, the wet clothing go on all \the doors of my house and my bathtub - it just cant stay there the whole time

ra-mom, what do I do for the hangers that dont have 3 sides? I have a bunch of them.

I cant put anything behind a door - no space for that.
