Hi,
I have a short shaitel that I don't wear too often but when I do the bangs get extremely oily extremely quickly. I do have oily skin so that doesn't help. Any suggestions on how to keep it from getting oily or some quick care I can do @ home to get rid of the oil without washing the whole shaitel?

ask your sheital macher. there are many dry shampoos on the market but you don't want to strip your sheital's color.

How about just washing the bangs with regular (mild, good for shaitel) shampoo. The skin oils etc are at least as bad for the hair as a shampoo would be.

I had that with one of my wigs and I gave it in for a conditioning. It really helped.

I'm sure dry shampoo is a lot easier.

I have done the dry shampoo thing. The hair became very dull and grayish with tiny particles of shampoo all over it.

Try an astringent on your forehead. Use a very light dusting of talc under the bangs. Set them with a rollar so they are not flat on your forehead. Wash them lightly when they do get oily.

Same here!!!
I always had oily skin...but when I got married I realized just how annoying it can be. My whole sheitel can look nice and fresh but my bangs are oily.
I still haven't found a solution - I hope something good will come up here...
For now I just wash the bangs trying not to get the rest of my wig wet....
