Boruch dayan emes. I am sorry for your loss.
The whole concept of "mi yichye, mi yamus" can be discussed. Its pretty depressing and scary though, but it can awaken people to really daven on Yom Kippur.

My cousin said at the funeral
that my grandfather wanted to pass away on
a jewishholiday so his family would rememeber him -
he passd away on shavous -
my cousin said that the apple does not fall from the tree
and that my aunt passed away on rosh hashona .

even thou she had a lot of tzurous in her life
(she had a bad divorce years ago )
