I just reorganized my toys and I'm very disappointed to see why DD is always so bored.
She owns:
1 decent doll
1 doll crib & carriage
small set of legos
very small dollhouse
a few dress up things
a few books
what toys do 5 year olds like? I like things that can be played over & over again & dont have a thousand little pieces that will be a pain in the neck to clean up. We live in a tiny cramped apt so I cant really stock up & risk that she will not enjoy the toy.

I was going to say more legos, but you don't want things with a zillion small pieces...
A play doctor kit?
One of those toys consisting of magnets in geometric shapes from which you can construct all sorts of polyhedrons?
An easel and some watercolors?
sewing cards?
a puzzle ball?

Does she like quiet games (like dolls and legos and puzzles)? or more active games (like a play tent or roller skates)? arts and crafts? board games?
Is this to play alone or with friends?

I would like to have a few things that she can play alone with. When her friends come over they love to play dressup and the dollhouse is pretty popular too. I see dolls arent her "thing" anymore (for now?). Any ideas woudl be appreciated quiet games as well as rowdy ones.

how about taking her to the toystore and having her pick out a few stuff. If you can't get all of what she picks (assuming she asks for this and this and this and...), you'll know what she likes.

A big hit by me is the clics, my dd can sit for hours playing with them.
She also loves puzzles
