It's not a diet! It's a cleanse.
Read "the master cleanser" book by Stanley Borroughs to get more information about it. I've done it. You really need to stick to the plan, so no, you don't get to eat real food on Shabbos.... it would mess up all the work and discipline of the days you stuck to it beforehand.
Also, you have to slowly transition to eating 'real food' again, so you can't end your cleanse on Friday and then chow down on chicken and potatoes on Friday night.
Better to eat lightly on Shabbos, start your 10 days on Sunday and then go 10 full days from there. And yes, it's no fun when everyone is having a tasty meal and you're drinking your lemonade, but seriously.... the hunger feelings go away after a few days.
