We were given a set of non stick Calphalon pots and pans for our wedding (use for meat). Anyways, I don't know if its something I did wrong or if they came defective but all the non stick coating has been starting to peel away. Is it dangerous to be eating food that's cooked in non stick pans that is peeling (and sometimes flaking)?? What am I doing wrong? Maybe I was using a sponge that was too rough, not sure, we switched to a softer sponge. Can anyone give me advice here on what to do? (Can't exactly afford a whole new set of pots and pans either)

I had the same thing happen to me. try calling calphalon and ask them to replace it. they have pretty good customer service. I called them about a different issue (shattered lid) and they took care of it immediately.
