My recipe for israeli salad is good, but I really like the take-out recipes, anyone have a good recipe for israeli salad?
here's mine:
2 tomatoes, diced largely
2 cucumbers, diced largely
1 red or green pepper, diced
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp minced parsley flakes
½ tsp salt
pepper to taste
¼ C oil
2 to 3 tbsps lemon juice
Variation: leave out the garlic and parsley flakes.

I dice the vegtables very, very small, it lets the flavors mix better. also I use scallions instead of onions, less strong. you can add olives. I season with fresh minced garlic, a little olive oil, fresh lemon juice, dill weed, and salt.

lemon juice
I either use mint, parsley, corriander, dill or cumin. I also add sometimes white onion
