how early can I send out my bar mitzva invitations? I'm excited, they're all ready, and I'd like my friends who are planning on making me something ( in my community, we do that) to let me know what they're making, so that I have an idea what I need to make/buy.

I think about 5-6 weeks would be the earliest I'd want to send them out, but I don't know if there's a protocol for these things!

I sent the out of town ones 6 weeks before, and was waiting till 4 wks before for in town, but they're all ready, and I'd love to send them out already now, at 5 weeks, if that's normal.
