Ladies, I am sure many of you have school age children and some of you, like myself, are even on PTA committee.
Lets share fundraising ideas that worked in your school. Those of you who will come up with best innovative fundraising ideas and projects (that work) will get a PRIZE!
Let me start:
Our school is small and those are the fundraisers we do or planning to do:
Innisbrook fundraiser,
Family events on Holidays,
Apple pie sales, Candy sales,
Cookie dough sales,
Community directory,
Women's Luncheon and Auction,
Nights a local restaurant

I heard of schools making their own cookbook out of every parent's favorite recipe and selling it.

you can make a calender for the school and every kid
pays to have his or her birthday on it .
You can have a magnet made for your refrigirater with the times

To elaborate:
-pies sale - they buy frozen non-cooked pies by case and resell it for profit (sending flyers with kids to place an order)
-community directory -directory of families and local yiden plus selling ads to local businesses (lots of work though)
-candies sales -candies were ordered by case and mothers repacked them in small clear boxes with dividers, they were placed for sale in local kosher stores - all profits went to PTO
-night in local restaurant - set a day with the restaurants and flyers went to families stating that the portion of the profits on that day will go to PTO, so all went to eat and socialize.

More ideas I got in pm :
-our shul bought a tallis and each member paid to embroider their kids
name on it.
- school have carnivals with rides and booths and food
- sell lord and taylor, bloomingdales certificates.
-tickets are sold for around 10 dollars, customers buy the tickets and are able to shop at a discount at the store the charity gets the 10 bucks and the customers save.
-on ncsy.com website you can recylce old telephones and ink cartriges .
for money!
- for purim shulach manos - the pta makes individual shalocah manos for each kid, each kid takes one home from school, for this each parent pays 3 dollars to have her name on the card of the schloach manos.
(if a kids parents r divorced they get two -one 4 each parent)

1-we have rosh hashanna and shavuos "bake sales"
parents volunteer to make a specialty of theirs (cakes, kugels, challah, salad...). a list is made with prices, a flyer of the items is mailed to everyone in the community, and people order from the school and pay the school.
the best part of this is that we only make an item if it is ordered.
2- 'picnic suppers' - a meal is planned and prepared at the school, and people come in to buy and eat out (as we have no sit down restaurant here) we do take out orders too.
3- theme night supper-same as above, but with a theme-chinese, israeli, southern, the letter 's'........
4- 'taste-a-thon' women prepare their favorite recipes for a special night so everyone can taste and see what they want to add to their own menus. a 'cookbook' of that nights recipes is given to all who come. (this can be done with a theme too-like 'a kiddush for a baby girl'.....
