we now do family games together, meaning board games, but what ther ideas do you people have for getting a family to have fun together that doesnt involve a trip or something expensive/extensive?

when is "family time?"
when we were little my mother would pack us into the station wagon and take us to a different park/playground each Sunday with a picnic. bring bikes, bubbles, play tag and hide'n'seek.

Mad Libs, if the kids are big enough. A puzzle or other craft kit.

Family time can be doing anything together. What I find most relationship building is to allow each family member to share their favorite pasttime with the family. Also learning to do new things together(fishing, bowling, special hobby) is also good to foster close family relationships.
