We are doing a kind of pilot trip and would like to stay a few days in rbs to feel the place and see if its for us, any ideas?

I dont think there are any hotels in Bet Shemesh or RBS.
There is somone in moshave Yishi who rents Tzimmerim, but without a car you may be a bit stuck there.
There are good busses from Jerusalem, so maybe pick a hotel there.
Maybe soemone in RBS knows about vacation appartments or Band B ?

Go to the rbs website and look up guest rooms. Many people have a guest room or apartment that they rent out. That is the way it is done there. No hotels nearby, but these are the RBS version of a hotel. If you insist on a hotel, then the town of Shoresh has a 4 star, I believe.

in the Business box type
Vacation
You'll get a list of Vacation Apts that are in the BS/RBS area. Some have websites and some just have a telephone number.
You can call and find out how large they are and where they are located. Some are one room and some are full apts.
There are no hotels in BS/RBS. The closest place for that type of accomodation is in Jerusalem or outside of Telstone or maybe Shoresh.
