We are looking for a house to buy in boro park. I have looked at truvia but there doesn't seem to be much listed. I looked in the hamodia and torah times but also have not seen many house listings. Does anyone know where else I can look? Does anyone know of anything available? Ideally we are looking in the lower to middle 40s between 14 and 17th avenues

Check out zillow too.

You may have better luck finding a condo than a house.

My advice to you would be to call every single broker in Boro Park, and meet them until you find one that you like and that will work for you. This means, that as soon as he/she gets a listing, they will contact you and show it to you first. A good house at a good price in that area will get sold instantly. A few overpriced ones will always be on the market, or a house needing a lot of work. The only houses online are usually overpriced ones or not serious sellers. Most serious sellers hire a broker to work for them. You didn't specify what type of house, one family or more, and at what price range you are looking in. Are you looking for luxury or a fixer upper? You can also check sites like 4salebyowner, or Byowner.com but I doubt you will find one there. The area you are looking in has a very limited number of availabilities....

Thanks. We want to buy a 2 family house, not a condo. Do you know the numbers for realtors in boro park who I could call?

You can check out the Jewish Press online or in print. You will see many different brokers. A broker is like a shiduch. You need to find one that you trust, and that can guide you to a good house at a good price. Of course you have to do your own research. Bear in mind, that many brokers have clients waiting with cash to buy the house that you would want, and they are there ahead of you. Still if its beshert for you it will come your way. It is definitely not easy. What is your price range for the two family house? What condition? I know there are a few one family houses in the area, and they are going for the range of $900 to a million, but need a lot of work....at least another $200 to make them livable.
