I have a 1 lb. bag of frozen green beans sitting around, I'd like to make them as a side dish.

What recipes work well with frozen green beans?

Italian risi e bisi (literally rice and peas)

My mistake, I thought you meant green peas, not beans. (No, I'm not dyslexic but lately I'm starting to wonder... LOL )

I only use frozen string beans.

Put them in a foil pan, or casserole dish, sprinkle minced dehydrated onions, garlic salt, pepper, and put some margarine in. (Or you can add sauteed onions to it afterwards).

Bake covered on 350 until cooked but still crisp.

I take the green beans (or string beans thought they were the same thing) when they are still hot and toss them with a little olive oil, crushed garlic, and some soy sauce.

I first steam the green beans. After the greenbeans are cool, I add this dressing:

1 TB sesame oil

1/2 TB lemon juice

1/2 tsp. honey

Add sesame seeds, slivered almonds, or pine nuts.

This recipe is soo easy and soo good..in fact I made it in huge amounts for a sheva brachos and so many ppl called me after for the recipe:

equal amounts of soysauce, sugar and oil. mix it all up well and add beans and bake like 1/2 hour..I like them a little crispy but the more you cook it the more the flavor gets infused and the tastier it is...eating it for leftovers is even better! use about 4 tablespoons of each per pound. it doesnt matter if you have too much it will just sit on the bottom...

enjoy!

I just tried this the other night and it was good.

Steam or boil green beans, set aside.

Mix 1/4 cup sesame oil, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, 1/8 cup soy sauce, 2 tsp ginger.

Mix with green beans, enjoy!
