We were invited to the bar mitzvah of a Chabad boy. He is in Monsey. We are not Chabad, and I am wondering what would be an appropriate gift?

You can give him a gift certificate to Tuvias or Merkez. They carry Chabad seforim. There is also a Chabad store in someones house. You could call the school for info.
