My husband and I are actually planning a vacation! However, my school is being very stingy with the vacation days so we have to go over a Shabbos. Has anyone been in Miami over a Shabbos? Where did you stay? Where did you eat? I DO NOT want to shlep food - that is not a vacation! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Actually I hate spirit. It might be cheap but it is small and cramped. I'd fly jetblue. They usually have pretty good prices if you book in advance. You will get a comfortable flight that lands on time. If you are only coming for shabbos then you don't want to be stuck on the runway for two hours.

Stay on collins avenue, and eat at either tower 41 or the carriage club, both you call and make a reservation for one or both meals and go there on fri and prepay if I recall correctly ts around 50 a meal.
