I want to use hand shaped cookie cutters to make "hand" shaped cookies. Last time my recipe for the cookies wasn't great.... and I was quite dissapointed as I wasted a lot of time with it.
Anyone have a GOOD cookie recipe that when rolled out, and shapes cut out- will hold and not get too thin or easily tear?
Thanks
p.s. Can I use a lindsor torte cookie recipe for these hand cookies?
(I'm dipping the rist into chocolate, and then placing diamond rings on the fourth finger.... for a vort)

tell me how to post a photo and I'll post one
however it will have to be from the last time I made these hand cookies as the dough from KBD wasn't holding together enough for the hand shape... so I ended up making the cigars dipped in chocolate/nugget as the KBD recipe is intended for this morning.
So my question is again- anyone have a cookie dough that is hardy enough- to hold the shape of a cut out hand, and not fall apart when separating the dough from the cookie cutter?

Best way to do it is not to roll out the dough too thin. It will tear when raw & crack when baked.

mommyabc123 has a great one (I used it for chanukah cookies). I don't have it on me, but maybe PM her and she can post it.
