I know that I've seen similar threads, but right now it's just the two of us and sometimes I feel like I'm being rather stingy when it comes to grocery shopping.
What do you spend, for you and your husband, on groceries? (Either weekly, monthly, whatever works.) If you're really interested in giving a detailed answer, you can let me know what types of foods you generally eat. (I live in NY)
Thank you!

Probably around 300 nis a week. Occasionally we will have additional trips where we stock up on various things I.e. chicken/ meat/etc.. and buy in bulk for a few months.

Before kids we spent about $100. In Brooklyn. We don't have meat/chicken during the week so it was mostly produce, dairy products (we keep cholov yisrael), flour, sugar, eggs, tofu, ice cream, beans, pasta. I also make a lot if things from scratch.

About $900 and we're 3 (I have a 7 year old) I must think of ways to cut our expenses though as we're looking for a house...

we spent between $100 and 125 a week but then once in awhile we bought in bulk things like chicken cutlets, meat, etc. so im not sure how much that was. we bought a lot and froze cuz its cheaper
during the week we usually had dairy, fish, ground meat.
shabbos usually chicken, challah, deli, kugels, cholent nothing too fancy (if I dont make dessert then we buy)
bread, snacks, fruit, vegatables, noodles, cereal, milk, cheese, yogurt, basic foods
I live in baltimore if that makes a difference
