I just read this in Consumer Reports: "Never wash or rinse raw chicken in the sink. You'll splash germs around the kitchen and risk food poisoning."
Ok, I think, they have got to be kidding. So where should I wash the chicken, in the bathroom? In the driveway with the garden hose? I'm about to send them a letter asking where they got such a crazy idea....
then I googled it.
Apparently this is from the FDA, and there is evidence (?) that there will inevitably be splashing from the sink when you rinse chicken and any bacteria are killed in the cooking anyway.
So now I'm curious. Does anyone here NOT rinse their chicken before cooking?

I rinse it in the sink while removing feathers, etc. and then wash the sink and area around it immediately. Doesn't everyone do that?

I only rinse if there is something on it that needs washing off. They have been well rinsed in the kashering process, I see no need to wash them routinely.

They've been handled during packaging - I definitely wash before using.

As long as the chicken/meat is fresh, I definitely do not rinse it.

The chickens are washed 3 times after being salted. Then are handled by people wearing gloves. So no need to wash unless YOU drop it first.

I understand the not rinsing chicken, but how do you clean it? The chickens I get normally have some feathers that need to be removed. I remove them with a knife, and then need to rinse with water to get them off. How do you handle that?
