I'm looking to buy a knee length denim skirt, preferably dark denim and without a big button at the zipper.
Any one have any leads?
Thanks!

When you say without a big button, you mean without the whole fly/zipper in the front? If you want something classy id say the Not Your Daughters Jeans company, skirt style Emma.

Wow, like the look of the NYDJ Emma skirt. Do you have it?

Yes, I have the Emma skirt. It runs big. You can find it in the $40 range if you look hard enough/wait long enough for a sale somewhere...

are they really true to the length that it shows in the pictures? they fall above the knee? how much room is there to let down?

I'm 5' 4" and it covers my knee. It has a slit I sewed up and its comfortable walking in. There is an inch-inch and a half to let down as well.

Is the nydj skirt very form fitting like a pencil skirt? I'd like something tailored like a straight skirt, but not very rear/curve hugging.

I had that skirt for a year or so. It looked great at first but somehow lost its shape and got very stretched out and sloppy looking. I think I would buy it again, but just know it isn't worth it to pay full price since it doesn't last. I did wear it a lot but not every day or anything like that.
I've had better luck with Karen and Reva skirts. I got mine at Brooklyn's in Teaneck. Not cheap, but a good selection.
