We've been visiting miami the past couple of years, and my husband feel in love with NMB. The shuls, the people, the weather and the relaxed lifestyle. Now my DH would LOVE to buy a home there, and eventually move. I am a bit nervous, because being that I'm used to a more insular ghetto kind of living, I noticed the frum people live near a lot of Haitians, and I'm wondering if there's an issue with safety there. To be honest, I was afraid to walk myself Friday night when my DH was at shul.
Also, are there still young families moving to NMB or with so many new neighborhoods cropping up in FL, (such as hollywood, boca, and aventura), NMB is not as popular. Or is it??!
As I said, my DH is ready to move there, he's just trying to get me on board.
Any info to share would be greatly appreciated.

There are still plenty of young families there. No, it isn't the safest place to live.
