Game for 8 yr old boy bday party in school

I think most of the boys were 10 at the party when my son played this but it was super fun and cute!

Buy one chocolate bar with scored rows and bring a plastic/paper plate with a plastic fork and knife.
Bring one oversized pants (one old one of dh's is best), big shoes, hat, scarf and oversized shirt.

Everyone sits in a big circle. Clothes are in the middle in a pile.
Have someone play music like musical chairs and stop at intervals. Start to pass the hat around and when the music stops, the boy holding the hat has to quickly put on all of the clothes over his and then quickly take them off and put them into the pile in the middle. The hat gets passed around again and action repeated, music must not be played very long.

In the meantime, the first child sits down on floor and must try to cut a piece of chocolate off with the fork and knife only (not so easy) and then can eat the one piece. By the time the next boy is dressed and then undressed, the first child must stop eating, if he has gotten a chance yet to or not. Second boy goes for the chocolate while the music starts again.

Something like that anyway, I might have mixed up some details. if anyone knows this game, please correct me. It was funny watching the boys struggle with the oversized clothes and have the chocolate bar slide all over trying to cut it.

How about something physical like Twister (divide into manageable size groups) or football?
Failing that, some games that involve running around, like "duck duck goose", or "yummy/yuck".
Charade (there're kids version) is quite good for a group.
Are things like chinese whispers or musical statue too stale?
