those of you with K9 filters may have noticed that recently youtube videos only show the first 15 seconds and then stop.
This is because of a change in the K9 program. It is a bug and I have been in touch with them about it.
To get around it go to "setup" on your K9 page, click on "other settings" then uncheck the box next to "force youtube safety mode."
this will fix the problem.

Thanks Yael! I removed the youtube safety mode setting, but my videos still aren't loading. The youtube vid just stays black and acts like it's loading. Any idea if this is k9 related?

the best way to find out is to put your k9 on supervisor mode temporarily, and reload the youtube page.
if it works when k9 is overruled, then you can check different aspects of K9 to see which part is blocking youtube from running.
the easiest way to check what is being blocked is to delete your internet viewing history (within K9), and reload the youtube page, then reload the internet history page.
whatever is being blocked will show up, and you can adjust that setting.

Thank you for your response, Yael.
I don't know what it can be...
I tried restarting my computer after the changes in settings. Didn't help.
I tried supervisor mode. Didn't help.
I tried deleting my internet history & my k9 history - restoring settings to what they originally were (and checked off the youtube filtering, as your original post describes), and my youtube videos still don't work.
Really want to be able to do my exercise vid on youtube tonight. Any suggestions?
Thanks again!
