Hi
Anyone have good experience with a sleep clinic in New York or Washington? Do they treat children? Thank you in advance

There's one in Livingston, NJ at St. Barnabus.

I think that any pediatric ENT should be able to recommend you to a sleep clinic. Many insurance companies require a sleep study first before other interventions.

I know someone who had a decent experience at St. Barnabus. What is this for?
Is the kid coming to see other doctors as well?
They should be able to refer him.
The kid I know was referred by a neurologist at the same place.

Not sure about costs though.

Yes he is going to see another doctor, don't know the details, but they asked me to try to get them a sleep clinic recommendation, that's right they can probably ask the doctor they are going to see.thank you...
And I will tell them about the one you told me

I hope it all goes well.
Also, worth a call to Echo in Monsey for recommendations. They may also know about costs for someone coming from abroad.

I used a sleep clinic for myselfi
I went to Maimonides Sleep Disorder Clinic 6405 7th Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11219. Tel: 718-283-2900
I saw it was geared to ped . too. I hear some kids in the other rooms.
I was very happy with the staff there - was there twice.

Your pediatric pulmonologist or ENT can easily set that up in most areas. I know Montifiore Medical Center, Westchester Medical Center and Columbia Pres easily set that up. Sometimes, there's a wait list if it's not an urgent matter. My docs at WMC were able to set it up within 1 week when they needed information.

We did 5 sleep studies (2 for kids, done twice) in Hackensack Hospital, NJ. Had great experiences, maybe it is worth a trip there.
